January 19th was the grand opening of “The Legendary Art Party.” Hosted every Thursday by ‘The Art of Fashion‘, John McMullen rekindles the spirit that first began back in the early 80′s with Keith Haring where creatives can come together for an after-hours art party. Artists can set up and display their work, while the music adds to the ambiance of the night along with good cheer.
The first night held at IMOK (If Mom Only Knew) in the L.E.S. featured fellow artists: COJO, Curtis Kulig, Meghan Oare, Joseph Meloy, Stvenski and Chris Prandy, who also doubled as the curator for this event.
I was honored to participate in this first of many ‘pop-up’ events. We had a blast and the crowd was filled with a good-NRG vibe.
Meeting new people is always a highlight, but I was flattered to hear their appreciation for what I create and how it resonates with others.
A big thanks to John and Chris for the invitation to participate; to the owner, Marcus; and to my friends, old and new, who made it an awesome evening.
